The Graphotype 6140 “Dog Tag” machine is a good choice when  a portable machine is needed but your budget does not allow for our 350 series.

Operation is quick and easy. To emboss, the operator simply inserts a blank plate into the plate jaw, turns the character wheel with the left hand until the pointer coincides with the desired character on the character scale, and pulls the embossing lever forward with a firm stroke with the right hand. The carriage automatically spaces each character. Spaces between words are obtained by a partial stroke of the embossing lever.

Changes and corrections are made by backspacing  which makes it easy to  re-emboss the tag.  The jaws are specifically designed  and engineered to fit the military “dog tag.” Because of its versatility, the 6140 can  be applied  to a wide range of embossing applications.

Simplicity and ease of operation make possible production speeds of 25-35 tags/plates per hour.
